A Love Letter to Jesus

I’m sure we have all heard of the song ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ by Elvis Presley.

Although::: i’m sure you haven’t heard of this version. Jesus we love you(Can’t help falling in Love) MBL worship.

“take my hand, take my whole heart to, i can’t help falling in love with you Jesus. “

This past month I have been learning to view Jesus as a husband. In the Passion translation :There is a part that says YOUR MAKER,YOUR HUSBAND. It describes how beautiful it is to have a relationship with God and how it is like marriage. It shows us how deeply God’s love is for us.

As some of y’all know, I got baptized maybe the third day of getting here in Guatemala. The reason i decided to get baptized was because I finally had felt the Holy Spirt alive and well with me. I felt like God was saying,, I release you of any broken chains, any burdens you carry. After I got baptized I remember saying I just renewed my vows with Jesus. And getting all bubbly and excited.

In wedding vows,, you most likely say, “for better of for worse.” And God literally loves us for better or for worse. Any sin, anything,, if we fall away from the Lord. He still loves us unconditionally. He loves us regardless of our past,, our past does not define us but gives us a testimony to show where He drew us closer. For better He loves when we come to him and tell Him how our day was. He loves hearing our joy.

Within a marriage, you crave to spend as much time as you can with your significant other (i would hope, lol). You want to spend mornings with them,go to bed with them. One of my lovely friends Kate Rolffs and I had a talk one night, and I was telling her how badly I feel when I fall asleep while praying before bed. And she said “ That’s good, it’s like your falling asleep right in the Fathers arm.” I haven’t forgotten that. Jesus wants nothing less than to hear how our day went, to spend time with Him, enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. He wants that one on one connection.

In Romans 8:31 ESV version. It says “If God for us,who can be against us? “. Romans 8:39” Not heigh nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. “.

That is the Lords love for us. So strong. So powerful. Words can’t even describe the love and passion he has for us. He is our husband. In Revelation 19:7, “ Let us rejoice and exult, and give him the glory, for the marriage of the lamb has come and his bride has made herself ready. “. I mean cmon! That is so good.

One last thing:: If you are feeling single, or anything or even in a relationship. Take a second and ask yourself,, am I being pursued like Jesus would pursue me? When we are in a marriage, that’s the closest thing to an earthly experience to a relationship with the Father on earth. As well, be reminded that you need to find your identity in Him and not find your identity in a person. Your worth is in Him. Nothing else. No one but Jesus can tell you your worth. We are just figures on this earth, being used as vessels to expand the Kingdom and make it more of a party upstairs.
